Ooh I was just wondering if I'd understand it without having read the book. However, my recently ordered copy of GO is on it's way right now so would it be more enjoyable if I waited until after I've read the book?

The only thing it shares with GO, honestly, is the angel/demon aspect. It's a standalone. Totally worth it.
