It is a dark and stormy night. I'm home alone.

Surely the wisest thing for me to do would be to watch the Weeping Angel Doctor Who episodes.

Right so.

Don't blink. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast, faster than you could believe, don't turn your back, don't look away, and don't blink. Good luck.

I started watching it downstairs in the kitchen while making dinner, then realised there was no way in hell I was watching Blink in rooms where there were windows, so I'm watching Sherlock until I can get upstairs, shut the blinds and turn on ALL THE LIGHTS.

There is absolutely no way this plan could backfire.

I remember being home alone years and years ago. It was wintry (I was in Nebraska at the time) and the wind was howling and I was very pregnant and unable to move very well. So I watched that creepy X-Files episode where the Squeeze guy can slither up the toilets. After that, I went and put on all the child locks we had bought for the toilets even though we didn't technically have a child yet. No slithery toilet creature was getting me and my unborn! :)

Did you blink?

For me, those are the scariest Doctor Who creatures, hands down.
